This course  gives the students the systems process modeling using the systems development life cycle (SDLC). It details the following phases of the development cycle: the user needs and requirements analysis; the systems project development and management; the user involvement and prototyping; the system documentation, scheduling and  implementation; the user acceptance and modifications;  the post implementation evaluation and review; and the systems maintenance and upgrade. It also defines clearly the job of the systems analysts in all these phases and its role in providing total  systems solution to the needs of the business operation and other organizations.  

By the end of this course you should be able to:

  • apply the systems tools in the study, analysis, design and development  of the business and organizational systems needs and problems.

  • apply the concept and practice in systems project management.

  • present a system prototype as  a group term project.
